on_reboot & on_crash should be set to restart, not destroy

Bug Description

On creation, virt-manager sets the on_reboot and on_crash actions on virtual machines to "destroy" rather than "restart". This means that if I run "reboot" from inside a guest machine, it powers off, requiring manual intervention from a host VM admin to get it back.

Hi, thanks for the report.

I cannot reproduce this problem.

Can you please retest and confirm that the problem still exists? If it does, please tell me what OS you're running in both the host and the guest.

Thanks,
:-Dustin

Hi,
in fact, when you change virtual machine settings in virt-manager and click to apply, on_reboot and on_crash settings in xml domain are lost. it's always "destroy" that is set.

It would be great if in virt-manager settings, we can set on_reboot and on_crash actions ..

Hi, here a test that confirm bug :

ii libvirt-bin 0.4.4-3ubuntu3.1
ii libvirt0 0.4.4-3ubuntu3.1
ii virt-manager 0.5.4-2ubuntu1

Try to boot with debian-40r1-i386-netinst.iso iso file, when you are asked for machine name, type ESC 2 times, and choose console in bottom of screen, then type "shutdown now -r"

The virtual machine stops but not reboots ..
