gnome-terminal is unreponsive on startup

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

using ubuntu intrepid and gnome-terminal 2.23.4.2-0ubuntu2 gnome-terminal will instantly freeze when i start it up and i can only force-quit it. this ONLY happens sometimes after i've been logged in for a while, so it's probably related to something else, i just don't know what. xterm is functional, and restarting the computer fixes this problem.

sorry that i didn't attach this earlier, i'm kinda disorganized. I haven't had this problem again, but after filing this bug, I decided to do a strace before rebooting. If this doesn't provide enough information, I guess I'll have to wait until this problem comes up again.

No, sorry; I don't know how to reproduce this bug. I'll reopen this bug when/if it happens again, with a whole lot more information.
