Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-device-manager

This is not really a bug but more of a minor annoyance for users.

In the past, hal-device-manager would provide a menu entry in System -> Administration for easy access.
However, an equivalent entry for gnome-device-manager (the intended replacement) does not appear in this expected location, so users would have to start the program through the terminal.

Looking into /usr/share/applications/gnome-device-manager.desktop reveals why:
Copying from hal-device-manager.desktop, the line

Categories=GNOME;GTK;System;

should probably be

Categories=GNOME;GTK;System;Settings;HardwareSettings;

Thank you for the bug report and thanks for the patch. This is a trivial change, if you could forward the bug and patch upstream to Debian to hear their take on it, it would be great. Thanks again.
