Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox 3 crashes on a page with a java applet (a file manager for working on files on my php website): the Java logo appears first and next a security dialog window where I must click on Yes to confirm... and crash! No information written in my logs files!

I tried on a test java page and it works.

As I read on French documentation Ubuntu site, I also created a link after installation of java plugin. Used command: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.06/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/firefox-3.0/plugins/. Same crash.

Ubuntu release: 8.04.1
package Firefox 3.0+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1
packages Sun-java6-bin and sun-java6-plugin: 6-06-0ubuntu1

To me this does not sound like a duplicate of #288397. For one thing, this is a crash, where that is a hang.
