Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
* Are you telling Firefox to save your passwords, using a "remember me" option on the websites, or both?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

This happens for me too (Ubuntu 8.10 - firefox 3.0.4).

It is reproducible because every time I restart firefox (well, reboot since if I restart firefox only it doesn't happen).
The step is, in my opinion, rebooting. At least seems so.
Yes, it is using remeber me option, as well as accepting cookies and keeping them until they expire.

Sorry, Restarted firefox now and had to login to gmail again. No reboot needed. Useful information: I'm using Secure Login extension (even though it happens with it turned off) and it seems it only affects some sites like google. In phpb forum works, chyrp blog too and even deviantart.

That works fine for me, could you try to reproduce the same with another new user created on your system? thanks.
