odd box on my screen

Bug Description

An odd box has appeared on my screen with no text exit, It has happened several times now. The box is undragable to remove it I have to reboot the machine. I am using desktop effects.
I am running Kubuntu 8.04 on a 1.9ghz AMD athlon xp processor 756mb of ram and a nivida graphics card.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 9.04? Thanks in advance.
