Bug Description

I have a wireless-g USB Network Adaptor. I'm using the adaptor to connect to the wireless gateway. Well the network manager is able to find the network but when trying to connect by entering the security code it just sits for awhile and does nothing not connecting to the internet simply at all. Hopefully this can be fixed in the near future.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Thank you for your bug report, and for trying to help make Ubuntu better. However, this report doesn't contain enough information to pin-point your problem. Could you please add the following information:
1) The version of Ubuntu you are using
2) The exact model of your USB wireless adapter.
3) Exact steps to reproduce.

Additionally, if you have a crash report from miro in /var/crash, attaching that would be extremely helpful.

1.) The Ubuntu version is 8.04 LTS Deskotop Edition.
2.) WUUSB54 ver.4
3.) First I clicked the wireless connection up top (it's on automatic). It then shows our network. So I click connect and type in our security WEP key. It then sits idle and doesn't connect. It sometimes will prompt again for the key code but it just never connects.

I also checked the crash folder and there was nothing included in the crash folder.

Yea, I tried changing it to WPA but it just messed up the Windows computers but for some reason would not let Ubuntu connect.

Thanks again, but we will need more information to be able to handle this.

Could you try to improve the debugging information following the guide at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures?
