Bug Description
When I try to install Hardy from the basic Live CD distribution into a new partition I get an ubiquity crash report. I have tried choosing install from the initial menu that the CD generates as well as from the install icon after I let the CD boot me into Hardy. I had been using Gutsy, but when I upgraded to Hardy I got many problems so I wanted to start with a fresh install to a new partition. The GUI never appears. I have many partitions on my system some of them newly created. I attached a screenshot of my partitions in GParted in case that might help.

I'm afraid we cannot further investigate this bug without log files from the installer. Can you please run the installer again and attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman to the bug report, following the instructions at http:// wiki.ubuntu. com/DebuggingUb iquity/ AttachingLogs ?
Thanks!
