Bug Description

PROBLEM:
Inkscape crashes when changing of blur value of an object in certain file.

Version: Inkscape 0.46 (May 22 2008)
Platform:
  Debian GNU/Linux lenny/sid
  Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-686
  RAM: 439.8 MiB
  CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.53GHz
Locale: cs_CZ.UTF-8

METHOD:
0 - Download http://openclipart.org/people/Chrisdesign/Chrisdesign_Gravure_Glas_Filtereffect.svg
1 - Launch Inkscape
2 - Open Chrisdesign_Gravure_Glas_Filtereffect.svg
3 - Select the lower Inkscape logo
4 - Presss <Ctrl>+<Shift>+<F> to bring up the "Fill and Stroke" dialog
5 - Move "Blur" slider to change Blur value of the object

RESULT:
5 - Inkscape crashes

EXPECTED
5 - No crash

WORKAROUND:
5 - None

NOTE:
File 'Chrisdesign_Gravure_Glas_Filtereffect.svg' used is a subject to the Public Domain licence and is authored by by Chrisdesign.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. This problem is already fixed in Inkscape development version. For a workaround, don't use Blur slider to blur objects with Filter effect already applied, but use the Filter Effects dialog.
