After downloading it, it doesn't work, and i got the message reported in screenshot2.
Module is correct since i use 64-bit.
But it says that it can install it.

what's wrong?

btw. package tls is yet installed on my system.

0.97.1 contains a required fix for logging in to MSN-servers:
http://amsn.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/amsn/branches/0_97/amsn/protocol.tcl?r1=10215&r2=10261

The Ubuntu repositories should be updated with the new protocol.tcl-version I assume.

I tried running gksu amsn, to see if it would install its own preferred TSL properly that way, and it ended up just working. It didn't continue working under a normal run, and this may be a security hole, but if you really need amsn, it seems to be a workaround.

HOWTO:
Edit the file: /home/username/.amsn/plugins/tls1.50/pkgIndex.tcl

Change the line: "package ifneeded tls 1.50"

to

"package ifneeded tls 1.5"

without the " " marks.

amsn now works.

Note that I also compiled openssl from source. But that was before editing the pkgIndex.tcl file. I don't know if i had to compile it. But if it dosent work for you, then you should try it.

Im using Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit.
