 Can you please try to run (as root):
    chgrp mail /usr/lib/evolution/camel-lock-helper
    chmod g+s /usr/lib/evolution/camel-lock-helper

 and check if it solves the problem.

I just tried it (I have camel-lock-herlper-1.2), but it didn't solve the
problem.

Without success.

PS : camel-lock-helper did not exist, only camel-lock-helper-1.2

Subject: evolution: No contacts are displayed

Package: evolution
Version: 2.2.3-5
Severity: normal

I previously had a number of contacts stored in Evolution. Now there seem to be no contacts at all. The data files (~/.evolution/addressbook/local/system/addressbook*) are still there with the data in them.

Starting evolution with
 LANG=c evolution
gives the following output when changing to Contacts view:

(evolution:5897): evolution-addressbook-WARNING **: error loading addressbook : e_book_new: no factories available for uri `file:///home/oysteigi/.evolution/addressbook/local/system'

Killing all evolution processes or restarting does not help.
