Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When loading an SVG like http://art.gnome.org/download/backgrounds/abstract/3641/ABSTRACT-CrunchyBranch_scalable.svg Firefox hogs the CPU constantly for > 5min and my System becomes unusable. Loading the mentioned SVG with eog or setting it as desktop background works as expected.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.

take ~20 seconds to render and consumes a bunch of memory; tried in other svg viewers, but they show the same behaviour. So i guess its either a none-issue or fixed.
