Bug Description

Binary package hint: kmail

Today, after the following updates, Kmail fails to start.

kdelibs-bin (4:4.0.83-0ubuntu4) to 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1
kdelibs5 (4:4.0.83-0ubuntu4) to 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1
kdelibs5-data (4:4.0.83-0ubuntu4) to 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1
kdelibs5-dbg (4:4.0.83-0ubuntu4) to 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1
kdepimlibs-data (4:4.0.83-0ubuntu1) to 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1
kdepimlibs-dbg (4:4.0.83-0ubuntu1) to 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1
kdepimlibs5 (4:4.0.83-0ubuntu1) to 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1

The error is :

/usr/bin/kmail: error while loading shared libraries: libgpgme++-pthread.so.1.2.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I am using an up-to-date Intrepid

Still have the same error here, kmail is looking for libgpgme++-pthread.so.1.2.0 but libgpgme++-pthread.so.2.0.0 is supplied with the kde4 pim libs. Created a link to get around that which brings up another error as kmail is looking for libqgpgme.so.1.0.0. Create a link to get around that and kmail crashes on sending with a signal 11. Guessing this is a short term bug brought on by all of todays updates.
Thanks.

Still not working for me... i guess i have a local problem as it already works for others in intrepid.

I have kmail 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu2 and

kervel@latas ~ $ ldd /usr/bin/kmail | grep -i found
        libgpgme++-pthread.so.1.2.0 => not found
        libqgpgme.so.1.0.0 => not found
        libgpgme++-pthread.so.1.2.0 => not found

i have kdepimlibs5 version 4:4.0.98-0ubuntu1 (there is no ubuntu2 version yet according to my apt)

any hints ?

Kmail should be version 3, kdepimlibs is still version 1. Both should be on the hardy feed, its the only non-standard repository in my list. Hope that helps.
