Bug Description

Binary package hint: ntfs-3g

When backing up the data for a friend of mine, I wasn't able to mount the ntfs partition of his windows drive because windows didn't boot up properly anymore. So the journal wasn't empty and gnome-volume-manager plus hal plus ntfs-3g (etc. you get the idea ;-)) wasn't able to mount the partition at all.

I had to open a root shell to mount it manually, which really sucks to do in front of non-techy users ("linux is soooo complicated", you get the idea ;-)).

So please get this to work properly with a nice UI in the future.

This is fixed now, as ntfs-3g mounts with the "recover" option by default.
