Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When I try to print a received file, Firefox prints only the First page and last page. It skips out all the pages in between.
My Printer is a Laser printer Brother HL-1435.

You can also see this problem by looking at the print preview screen. The text spills off the bottom of the page in the preview

I can confirm that Firefox only prints the first page. It doesn't matter what printer is being used. Even when printing to PDF it only prints the first page.

Slightly different with me. With Firefox 3.0.4 on Ubuntu 8.10 pdf prints perfectly. PS prints only the last page.

I am seeing this also. I am attaching a page from www.travelocity.com - the page contains a flight reservation (anonymized). Neither Firefox nor Thunderbird can print anything but the first page. Safari prints it fine, however.

HTML that should print to 4 pages but only prints first page.

Just try to print or print-preview. There should be approx. 4 pages of output.

Likely a duplicate of another bug, though... Reduced testcase would be helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
* Which version of Firefox are you using?
* Could you please attach an example file so that we can reproduce this issue?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

The two primary cases where I have seen this behavior are on sites that aren't publicly available. After previously commenting on this problem, I found a public site that exhibited the problem, but that site has been changed and now prints correctly.

The best I can do now is describe the problem in more detail and give some characteristics of the sites where I see the problem. Both sites contain data in a long table that is in a frame embedded in the main page.

If I right click in the frame, and select This Frame -> Print Frame, then all of the information for the frame (generally multiple pages of output) gets printed which is as expected.

When using the File -> Print menu, the first page of output is printed as page 1 of 1, and the rest of the information is ignored. I expected that all of the data printed in the first case would get printed along with the rest of the page which contains the frame.

I will watch for a public site which exhibits the problem, and post again if I find one.

I forgot to give my Firefox version. It is Version 3.0.5 running in an up to date Ubuntu 8.04 system. The version text is:

Thanks for the reduced testcase, Martijn!

I'm attaching a slightly modified version of the testcase (with correct table closing-tags, with a border on the outer div, and with all visible whitespace in the body removed for maximally-clean frametrees. :))

"testcase" and "testcase 2" are broken as far back as Firefox 2, so this is *not* a regression.
