Bug Description

I installed mozilla-mplayer, the plugin works fine in firefox but for some reason konqueror does not
detect it.
It is installed in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins so it should be detected.
Not sure if the problem is with mozilla-mplayer or with konqueror-nsplugins, but since it works in
firefox I guess this is the place to post.

Works for me on current Feisty. Can anyone reproduce this problem on Edgy or Feisty? Note that you have to either restart KDE or go to settings and tell it to scan for new plugins.

I meet the same problem with feisty. with :

kmplayer 0.9.4-0ubuntu2
kmplayer-base 0.9.4-0ubuntu2
kmplayer-konq-plugins 0.9.4-0ubuntu2
mozilla-mplayer 3.31+main-1ubuntu1
mplayer 1.0~rc1-0ubuntu9

The mplayer plugin works in firefox, but not in konqueror (though I scanned for new plugins in konqueror configuration dialog)

I am running Kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) on a three-year-old p4 laptop. Firefox does find the flash plugin (nonfree) so e.g. youtube videos can be played. But Konqueror does (apparently) not find it, or rather, cannot use it.
I have also tried installing Adobe's tarball to /usr/lib/firefox (so i have the file /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so) and tweaked konqueror to find it. Still, no content can be viewed. Upon closing the window (resp. the tab where I tried to watch the video) I get an error popup indicating a crash of konqueror-nsplugins (see attachment).

when looking up the installation of konqueror-nsplugins, I get the following:
