Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I have two gnome-panels on top of my screen. Panel 1 is hidden and set to unhide after half a second, while panel 2 is always shown. On metacity, when I move the mouse to the top border and hold for half a second panel 1 unhides and covers panel 2, which is the behavior I want. With compiz enabled sometimes the correct behavior happens, however sometimes panel 1 unhides but does not raise over panel 2. If I click somewhere on panel 1 then it raises. The different behaviour depends on which panel I click on last before unhiding panel 1. If I clicked last on panel 1, then it will raise. If I clicked last on panel 2, it does not raise.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance.
