update-rc.d usage errors when upgrading from gutsy to hardy

Bug Description

Also during the upgrade to 8.04, there were errors at the end. I cannot remember exactly what it is. Compare this upgrade to the 7.10, the 7.10 had no error massage. Please rectify ASAP.

This happens when you installed sysv-rc from debian, which you seem to have. See also bug 157041.
