Bug Description

when I try to play a cd in Sound Juicer I get two error dialogs:

Error playing CD.

Reason: Failed to connect stream: Invalid argument

Error playing CD.

Reason: Internal data flow error.

Trying to play a cd in banshee or rhythmbox: it just skips through the track listing without playing anything.

The dvc/cd worked fine in 64 Studio (and was used to install 64 studio), I can rip tracks to ogg or any other supported codec using sound juicer. I've tried reinstalling a couple of times because of this, the problem wont go away.

Many thanks in advance for any help,
Gazza

Reasigned to pulseaudio. Had a very similar (if not identical) problem on my Fedora 9 install. Found that I couldnt play a music CD or, this time an .ogg (ok the fedora configuration of pulseaudio is totally non functional (for me atleast)). Removed all traces of pulseaudio using fedora "add/remove software" (which was tedious). Et Voila: Sound now works. But not in Flash So...
Next following some advice I used yum to install:
alsa-oss-libs
alsa-oss-devel

Pulse Audio needs fixing. Like a few others (on various forums), I would prefer Pulse Audio to be an optional install.
