I don't want to continue to work on this, Varkon is bugged and segfaults in Ubuntu. Who wants can work on this.

Thank you for reporting this. I just filed Bug #722493 to remove varkon from the archive since there is no longer a maintainer for it in Debian. If you would like to maintain it in Debian or Ubuntu, we can get it back in, but in the mean time, this is Won't Fix. Please report any other issues you may find.
