Bug Description
The git-buildpackage version in Intrepid has some nice new features (pristine-tar support in import-orig is one I want) and lots of fixes. I can verify that it builds, installs, and runs (at least for my needs) fine.

I agree.
I was unable to get git-import-orig to work at all from Hardy. The traceback when run on a xxx.orig.tar.gz file was: git-import- orig", line 211, in <module> exit(main( sys.argv) ) git-import- orig", line 181, in main source_ tree(repo, orig_dir, version, options.filter, verbose=not is_empty) git-import- orig", line 56, in import_source_tree index_files( )) python- support/ python2. 5/gbp/git_ utils.py" , line 84, in index_files
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/
sys.
File "/usr/bin/
import_
File "/usr/bin/
old = set(repo.
File "/var/lib/
files = [ file for file in out[0].split('\0') if file ]
IndexError: list index out of range
My workaround was to use a very big hammer. I created an Intrepid chroot and used get-import-orig from there.
