Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Currently Ubiquity does not allow the use of custom partition recipes (although according to documentation partman does). Custom recipes would be useful to not only spin offs like Mythbuntu (where the recording dir should be a different partition than root), but also to Ubuntu where the home directory could be on a different partition.

What should happen:

When a properly formatted partition recipe file is located in /lib/partman/recipes Ubiquity should show this recipe during the partitioning phase and allow the user to select this partition scheme.

What does happen:

The recipe is not available to be choosen in Ubiquity.

The "What should happen" in the report is incorrect, because partman-auto includes three recipes by default but we nevertheless don't want to offer these in the normal Ubuntu UI. It will have to be more sophisticated than that.

For now, a fix is included in the mythbuntu frontend that will suffice for it's purpose. It diverts the normal recipe to add in a recipe that is only used when the mythbuntu frontend is activated.
