said connected to download location, but stayed there and never began download. Downloaded other aps during same session successfully.

Thanks for your bugreport.

When that happend, did you had another debconf process runnig somewhere? e.g. did you ran "sudo dpkg-reconfigure" in some other window? If you can reproduce this error, it would be interessting to get the output of "ps ax" when the error happend to see what processes are running.

Began download but never finished. Ctrl-C was necessary to skip over task. Not sure how to complete upgrade task.
