Bug Description

Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot

1) I am using Ubuntu 8.04.1 (Hardy Heron)
2) The version of emacs-snapshot is 1:20080228-1ubuntu1.
3) To reproduce, have emacs create a split window somehow (i.e. C-x 2 or C-x C-b).
4) Expected behavior: split windows are shown and emacs continues running normally.
5) Actual behavior: segfault.

This bug only manifests itself when the Inconsolata font is used. Setting .emacs to contain only

(set-default-font "Inconsolata-10")

will be enough to reproduce it. It is similar to Bug #230809, but the symptoms are slightly different (I get a segfault instead of a SIGABRT, and it only happens when I try to use split windows).

This should be fixed in current emacs-snapshot in Intrepid.
