Having an option to execute a special script after (or prior) a transaction,
would be very nice. [On SUSE Linux we at least have SuSEconfig, which could be
triggered that way.]

It would be good if smart would support the execution of a post script.
It should be possible to configure the postscript to run, in case
of suse it should be SuSEconfig and ldconfig.
It should be possible to enable (--postscript) or disable (--no-postscript)
the post script execution from the command line.
Attached is a script that is used with apt for the exact same purpose.

Running post scripts on suse is mandatory.
