Bug Description
I am on an ordinary old Dell PC 2400 with netgear wireless dongle. I cant connect to the net through GG Ubuntu, BUT I HAVE solved a WAY to get on the net... I went to my other computer running WIN-XP and got on right away. I formatted this computer and set up 2 partitions. I loaded WinXP on the first partition, with Acronis in command, and then put UBUNTU on the second. After a while, I lost the Wireless AGAIN for som odd reason, so re-booted into WinXP. I cannot get onto the net with Ubuntu, although it was BECAUSE Ubuntu had very few viruses written for it that I wanted to use it on the net in the fist place. Ah, well, back to Windows as the most reliable way to get on the net for an old guy. I will have to wait for UBUNTU to get their acts together to produce something really as easy to use as Windows is. (WIZARDS, or MAGIC things to find problems, instead of having to try and decipher DOS-TYPE euphemisms or whatever you call them. You see, UNTIL alternative systems get as good or BETTER than Windows, they can NEVER compete with them for use-ability, and that is a fact of life. The rest of the world are not DOS-literate, and need automation in error-fixing. Can you guys do this?
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? In regards to automatic error reporting, this functionality is part of Ubuntu. In nearly every application you can go to the Help menu> Report a bug. Thanks in advance.
