Bug Description

Binary package hint: fretsonfire

Half of the time when I run fretsonfire, I get a setfault with the following:

Fatal Python error: (pygame parachute) Segmentation Fault
Aborted

I can't figure out why it works sometimes and not others. I haven't figured out how to actually debug this. If I try to debug python, then when it crashes, my screen is frozen and I can't access the gdb console and have to switch to a VT to kill it. The best I could get was:

0x00007fdeee252ef4 in ?? () from /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1

I'm running fretsonfire-game 1.2.451.dfsg-2 amd64. Tried with both python2.5 (default) and python2.4, same result. Using the proprietary nvidia driver nvidia-glx-new 169.12+2.6.24.13-19.44.

I get the same thing on Intrepid, but it's 100% reproducible. It happens whenever I go play -> songs by sectoid. The game crashes within a second. Same Fatal Python error.
