kopete cannot connect to ICQ: client too old

kopete 0.12.7
KDE 3.5.9
Kubuntu 8.04 LTS

I cannot connect to ICQ since today. First kopete states that connecting has failed and after a manual connect attempt it states that the server considers this client as too old and that I should file a bug at bugs.kde.org. But isn't it senseful to file it here as well ?

take a look at http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165502#c26 . It seems to be sufficient to simply change the protocol version numbers...
