Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

Hi,

Part of the current diff to Debian is the addition of mp3 install
code, by installing the libxine1-ffmpeg package.

However, there is currently a dependency chain that pulls in that
package:

  amarok->amarok-xine->libxine1->libxine1-plugins->libxine1-ffmpeg

This seems to suggest that the install-mp3 code will never have to
be run, and so carrying it as a diff against Debian is unnecessary.

Thanks,

James

Very true, the question however is whether we really should have that dep chain.

libxine1-ffmpeg is in universe so it won't be on the CDs and almost everyone will need to install it.
