Customizations Lost when firefox 3 is closed

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Ubuntu 8.04 i386
Firefox 3.0

When right clicking on toolbar in firefox 3, i select customize toolbar and drag the new tab button to the toolbar. Then once i close firefox and open it up again it will have removed the new tab button.

Attempted to fix by creating entire new toolbar and adding all the navigation items to that and upon closing firefox and opening it again the toolbar was gone.

Tried using multiple themes to no avail

What items did you try to add and what is the exact version of firefox
you are using? (apt-cache policy firefox-3.0) will tell you. Please also
list all extensions and themes and any other addons you have.

Solved.

Tab Mix Plus was causing the problem, once i disable tab mix plus it worked fine.

Thanks for finding the is. Most of those issues like you were having
(even in general) are caused by extensions, that is why we have decided
to start supporting some of them in Ubuntu archives.

I had the same issue but Tab mix plus is more important than the Ubuntu Firefox Modifications, so the later was disabled.
