Bug Description
low volume using ubuntu, works fine with windows. Am I missing a driver? How do I set up my logitech 5:1 speakers for performance?

I confirm this behavior. I use the speakers from my screen and the settings work fine in XP and have worked fine when using 7.10, but since my upgrade to 8.04 I have to turn the music within Gnome all the way up if I want to have some sound when listening to music or watching a video.
