Bug Description

- Release

Ubuntu 8.10 intrepid alpha 1

- Description

All sounds, from the login sound to playing a mp 3 in rhytmbox, are being played by the pc speaker instead of my normal 5.1 surround sound speakers.
This, although funny, sounds very bad. It was easy to solve, I just had to go to System -> preferences -> sound and selecting Alsa for all the options mentioned there. I figure solving this bug is simply a question of having the right sound system selected by default, instead of ¨pcsp¨

By the way, my sound card is a soundblaster audigy. hardware id: CA0106

I just discovered that bug returns everytime computer is restarted, I have to go to sound preferences everytime to make the changes detailed above, so sound preferences apparently aren´t remembered.

Duplicate of nummer 242966: snd_pcsp can take precedence of usb soundcard ??

I have an internal sound card, not an usb soundcard!
