Fast own hostname resolution

Bug Description

If I want to resolv my own hostname the system will use /etc/hosts or DNS to do this. If there's no entry for my hostname in hosts file and no DNS answer (because missing network connection), the system isn't able to resolv my own hostname to an ip adress. If the network connection is very slow, it can take long time to resolv. ifconfig does still work in less then one second.

host `hostname` should be as fast as ifconfig (or faster as ifconfig because less output)
