Bug Description

I run Ubuntu 8.04 amd64 on Acer Aspire 5520G. After installing xview packages I attempted to build wfdb package from http://www.physionet.org/physiotools/wfdb.shtml that depends on it. It builds successfully. Unfortunately, the wave application didn't start with error

System warning: No such file or directory, call to alloc function returned NULL pointer
Segmentation fault

The same error occurs when I try XView example applications, too.

Command line tools from wfdb package work OK.

Here is the XView packages installed.

ii xview-examples 3.2p1.4-21.1ubuntu2 XView contrib programs
ii xviewg 3.2p1.4-21.1ubuntu2 XView shared libraries
ii xviewg-dev 3.2p1.4-21.1ubuntu2 XView development tools

This is basically http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=125391, and it's currently excluded from building because of that. I've regretfully removed the amd64 packages from Jaunty.
