Difficult with sending link to MSN buddy

When I wont to send some link to my MSN buddy Pidgin keep telling me:

I have had this issue numerous times before too.

same problem. also, if someone wants to send me a link, you have to remove the http:// part. or same error message.
i tried a few config workarounds, and nothing is working. tried http method, and a few plugins. switched to no proxy. all no good.

it hasnt happened to me in a long time now. i think it was a server side issue which is now resolved.
I cant say to marked "Solved" yet, but it hasnt happened for maybe a month.

This bug cannot be fixed without more debug information. If anyone else in here still has this issue, please attach a debug log (pidgin --debug) and a backtrace.

Oh, and the bug *doesn't* occur when sending links to buddies with whom I'm having an OTR private conversation.

This also affects Ubuntu 10.04 rc and pidgin 2.6.6
