Bug Description

Binary package hint: gthumb

When i attached my camera Nikon Coolpix L10 and try to import photos I obtain this error message.. (you cane see the screenshot as attachment).
I have to manually go in the gthunb directory and copy photos.
This happens now testing intrepid 64-bit

First of all sorry for the late reply..
for me gthunb still not work on intrepid 64-bit.

Now this is the error message that I always get:

An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not lock the device'): Camera is already in use

what does it mean? i don't think is already in use..

My camera work with other programs like for example f-spot and others
This is the screenshot i get.

others with the same problem with this camera?

The second error seems to match https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/208467

But that is marked as fixed.

A new gThumb is out in intrepid-updates. Try that to rule out one bug and if you still get the error I think this is a duplicate of this bug:
