multiple tabs of tmz.com brings firefox to a crawl

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

when i have multiple tabs of tmz.com open, firefox slows down to a crawl. i have over 2 gigs of memory and 8 gigs of swap so firefox should be able to handle 4 or more tabs of tmz.com

please isntall noscript extension to test how the site behaves if javascript is disabled. most likely the site does stupid things in javascript which cause this massive performance issue for you.

For what it's worth, I can not reproduce this with 2gb of memory and 6 tabs of tmz.com (+about 7 other tabs) in Jaunty. I tried both with NoScript and without.

The entire site seems to be generated by Flash and Javascript. I'm not using Adobe Flash. Ramsey, if you can still reproduce this without having Flash installed, please reopen as a Flash bug.
