Bug Description
Binary package hint: libpam-heimdal
I have an Ubuntu 8.04 machine using Kerberos for authentication. Libpam-heimdal is 2.6-1build1. Recently authentication started failing, although why this is so I could not determine. Fetching the source using apt-get source and compiling (./configure && make) led to a pam_krb5.so which doesn't have the authentication problem.
Since the pam_krb5.so compiled from (unmodified) source works, I am not sure why the pam_krb5.so in the binary package doesn't work, and it is difficult to provide further debugging info. What info would help?
Thanks,
Peter
