Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Firefox 3.0 window closed when printing - unable to print

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox 3.0 closed when i click printing on the printing window or click printing preview on File menu. This works fine on Firefox 2.0.0.14.

Ubuntu version : 8.04 LTS amd 64
Linux core system : 2.6.24-19-generic
Firefox : 3.0 Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; fr; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061017 Firefox/3.0
Printer : HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one usb Driver : HP OfficeJet 5600 Foomatic/hpijs, hpijs 2.8.2
CUPS version : system-config-printer 0.7.81

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs, or upload (as an attachment) the crash report from /var/crash/. Also, please answer these questions:

Is this crash reproducible? From what I understand, firefox crash when you click on print preview on the file menu?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which Firefox extensions do you have installed?

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

I confirm this bug!

I also use firefox 3 with hardy 64 and I can't print in a file... it always shut down...

I tried on a 32bit with the same configuration and it works...

the bug should be reported to mozilla maybe..

Hi!
The crash is not reproducible. I did install Kubuntu amd64 (on second disk drive)and Firefox did not crash when i do printing. Also with Ubuntu Live CD AMD64 it did not crash.

I solved this on my installed Ubuntu system, by backup bookmarks, uninstall firefox 3.0 ( firefox firefox-3.0 firefox-3.0-gnome-support firefox-gnome-support ubufox xulrunner-1.9 ); deleted ~/.mozilla directory.

After this i reinstalled firefox 3.0, import bookmarks backup.
