Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Since a few days firefox forgets my sessions with various sites (cookies?), after a short random period, say 15 to 30 minutes.

My external IP does not change in those periods.

How can I debug this problem as a non-developer?

thanks!

What sort of sites? Some sites will force you to re-login as a security measure, although that period sounds rather short.

Does this happen when you close and re-open firefox, or also if you leave firefox open and browse to other sites?

I had the exact same problem.

Disabling all addons and then enabling them one by one, showed torbutton (1.2.0rc1) to cause problems for me. Disabling this addon solved my problem. I have not investigated further, so I don't know whether this is a bug or a feature with torbutton.

I have to narrow it down a bit.
Tor could be causing it, because it is currently installed.

I'll post further findings. As for now it doesn't seem to be hunting me anymore. (although it happened multiple times this afternoon)

Well no more cookie problems.
Probably the tor plugin.

Not due to firefox, but (probably) due to tor plugin
