UN§expanded panels on Ubuntu 6.06LTS, 7.04 and 8.04LTS (all up-to-date) get jumbled

Bug Description

I have experienced the same behaviour on all 3 platforms on 3 different computers.
I wanted narrower panels (TOP & BOTTOM) but got my panels completely messed up at restart on each Ubuntu.
I thought it would work on at least ONE but it did not.

NOTE that all my panels in that case had "Autohide=OFF", "Show Hide Button=ON"
and "Arrows on hide button=ON".

I reconstructed the 2 jumbled panels on each of the 3 laptops AND checked the "Expand" box again -
all other settings UNCHANGED. Expand'ed panels are stable.

SORRY - no attachment ; do not want to waste time again.
It is useful cosmetically , but I can live with expanded panels.

Thanks anyhow for a great release 8.04 and for a glorious direct upgrade from 6.06 to 8.04. BRILLIANT !

Sorry guys ....
this has been reported before as BUG # 111893 (order lost on panels).
