Bug Description

Ubunty 8.04, Pidgin 2.4.1 (1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 (hardy), Pidgin-encryption 3.0-2 (hardy)

When using pidgin with IRC it is often convenient to keep regularly used #channel names in the buddy list by adding them with the Add->Chat menu option. If the Pidgin-encryption plugin is enabled, and if an IRC channel is joined by double clicking the #channel name within the buddy list, pidgin will segfault:
"(21:33:44) pidgin-encryption: No setting found for buddy:#ubuntu Segmentation fault."

My install of Harday was an upgrade from Gutsy, which in turn was upgraded from Feisty. This is the first incarnation of uBuntu that I've seen this particular behaviour with when using Pidgen.
