Bug Description

gentoo linux
Linux version 2.6.25-gentoo-r4
encfs version 1.4.2

In paranoia mode the date/time of the file is changed on move/rename which makes rsync copy all files every time.

p.s. I have not actually tested this in standard mode.

Yes. Using rsync's in-place copy mode should avoid that. The problem is with rsync's assumptions.

It should be fine in standard mode. In paranoia mode, renaming does cause a file to be modified.

Arguing about should move modify the time of a file is counter productive.
