Weird cursor drawing in evolution compose window

In the compose window, navigating the written text with the cursor leaves cursor bars drawn in the text. This sometimes leads to not knowing where the real cursor is and makes composing messages more difficult.

I have the same bug on two systems (Athlon64 (old Clawhammer) and a new Intel Core 2 Quad). Both systems are running Ubuntu 8.04 AMD64 with nvidia cards (7600GS and 8600GT) using the commercial nvidia driver. I know from friends that they experience the same bug using the commercial nvidia-glx or nvidia-glx-new drivers. BTW, I'm using compiz.

Thanks for assigning the duplicate, later I had thought it to be a
composite or graphics bug, but didn't redo the search for a similar bug
report (had already searched, and the suggestions while submitting this
one didn't show the bug 237002)...
