the system crashes when playing mp3 and browsing with firefox

Playing mp3's the program freezes and the sistem too. Anything (mouse, keyboard) works. Need to turn down the computer by the switch.

that's not a totem issue, whatever an user software do the system should still work correctly, either xorg or linux bug
