Get Mail only retrieves one message at a time

Bug Description

When I click the Get Mail (or Get All Messages), Thunderbird only retrieves a single message. I know there are hundreds that I have not downloaded, but I only get one when I click the button. Each time I click it, I get another. I'm really not wanting to do this for 300 times. :^(

This can be caused if you went to the site itself and logged in if the
settings are set to a certain setting it could be since you opened it in
website than Tbird wont retrieve those messages, this is caused by a
setting in you email server. example gmail gives me opeion to change
this to retrieve email starting at this point or all email that is in
inbox (i dont remember correct wording. Please let me know if you did
that and let me know what email this is (hotmail, gmail, othermail) this
way if i have account i can help you fix it.

Will leave it incomplete until you can give me reason to progress further being a Thunderbird bug or a webmail bug.

I'm trying to retrieve email from a pop email account from my webhosting provider. I've been retrieving mail from mail.robersonsoftware.com since Edgy using Thunderbird and have never had a problem. I don't retrieve the email very often, so I often have hundreds in there to pull down. I alway just click "Get Mail" and all of it comes down. But there's something with Hardy Heron/Tbird that only retrieves a single message when I click the button.

Yes i have seen this as well. It retrieves only the default set email
and IIRC this is a feature not a bug. if you click on the arrow pointing
down you will see get all messages and that will grab for all boxes. I
will check on if we can do anything or if upstream has planned to change
this. I do remember looking upstream about this before and never found
anything.
I was talking to Alexander and he said you need to enable it. once i get caught up on email i will look into it since i have to change config options anyway

Does it only retrieve 1 email or 1 email box? I re read your comment and it looks like you stated it only retrieves one single email.

It was one message in one account. But there was a problem with my ISP. I don't know what it was, but all of my email eventually started coming down. I can no longer reproduce the problem. This issue is closed. Thanks for your help.
