Removable media icons pile in same spot on desktop

Bug Description
Icons for removable media pile on top of each other in the same spot at the top left of the desktop.
Example:
- A second windows hard-drive is connected to the computer from boot-up.
- Once logged in, insert a DVD to you DVD-drive. The DVD icon is automatically placed on the desktop at the top-left.
- Go to Places and click on your windows hard-drive. The hard-drive icon is automatically added to the desktop on top of the DVD icon.
I have experienced this bug many times in Ubuntu 8.04. Attached is a screen shot of the bug.
