Former Member management needs preference

When a LP user leaves a team they are shown as a Former Member of that team for a period.

The user should be able to decide if they wish to be shown at all.

Thats right.
For example if he is embaresed he was a member of some team.

But also showing former informs who was and new ones can also ask for experience and members can see who left.

And also why then he was a member?

So now- its 1 plus for each side.

Maybe launchpad users could vote on this..
How many are who like to be seen as former how many not and how many would join a team without previusly joining.

Also i just realized that maybe this bug is making disturbance by joining team and then next second leaving team so they could prove i was at that team and now is tellin that he did something there..
So that there wont show up fake liars that needs to be fixed.

Previus member is a member who was in team x amount of time.. The older team the shorter time the younger team the longer time needed to count as former member if leaving.. Couse if new team is made and after 1month he leaves then project is almost as stopped that can happen so that means that person was almost not in team. Later after 3y when project makes bilions he cant say i was former member. I was 1 month from start.. Thats what i think and that would be bad if someone does like that. Then i could also join every new project and then take credit- i was at start of all projects.. look my launchpad project page- see im former member.. :)

Uhm. I was the original lodger of the bug.

The bug was lodged because I was enrolled into a team that I had no
desire to be part of. That in itself created a bug report.

However, now that I've left the team, I still show up as a former member
and thus add credibility to a team that I have no desire to be
associated with.

So, transparency and openness is not relevant IMHO.

Perhaps this could be handled as an exceptional case by asking a Question against Launchpad, and an admin would remove the record? We could advertise in the faq that this is possible.
