Bug Description

I cannot add a recycle bin applet to either of the panels on the top or the button. When I try to, just nothing happens. All other applets work fine and can be added and deleted.

I am running Ubuntu 8.04.

thanks for your report, Is there any error or you just can't see the applet?

No error shown. Just a short vertical line flashing where the applet is supposed to appear - then nothing. I didn't scan the logs though.

Additional information:

When I ran "gnome-panel" under XFCE, I saw a lot of recycle bins in the panels. So they are actually added to the panel, but not displayed under GNOME.
