Ekiga has no mic volume

Summary:
Ekiga does not seem to be able to capture sound from the microphone inputs on the Q1U. The sliders on the Audio tab of the dialpad dialogue snap back to 0 when moved

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Launch Ekiga
2) Enter valid ekiga.net sip and call
3) Select Audio tab
4) Move microphone slider
5) Move Speaker slider

Expected result:
Can have two way conversation
Slider settings can be adjusted

Actual result:
Can hear call, but no microphone is available
Sliders snap back to 0
